Solana Blockchain Review by Coin Bureau

Solana Blockchain Review by Coin Bureau

Solana is a fast layer 1 blockchain that was founded by former Qualcomm employees. The Solana blockchain can scale to over 65 000 transactions/second. It is able to scale without sacrificing decentralization or security due to a very unique feature.

Solana is able to do this by adding timestamps to blockchain transactions, something also done by companies like Google and Intel.

However, Solanas being a decentralized platform means it cannot use a centralized clock. Because of this Solana created its own decentralized clock. The clock is required for the entire blockchain to reference and organize transactions and blocks accordingly.

Solana, similar to Ethereum is a smart contract blockchain. Solana is still in development, however, this has not stopped 3rd parties from beginning to migrate towards the platform. Major players in the cryptocurrency space such as Tether, Chainlink, and FTX have all begun steps to utilize the Solana blockchain.

NFT Marketplace Rarible and the RARI Token Explained

NFT Marketplace Rarible and the RARI Token Explained

What Are NFTs Non-Fungible Tokens

Non-fungible tokens are similar to collectibles, but digital or digital representation. These special cryptographic tokens have 4 key properties:

  • Can't be counterfeited
  • Can't be replicated
  • Can't print to demand
  • Has ownership guarantees

Two main types of NFT's

  • ERC-721 tokens
  • ERC-1155 tokens: Which combines both fungible and non-fungible tokens

What Is Rarible?

Rarible is on track to becoming the first decentralized and community-owned marketplace for non fungible tokens. Both ERC-721 and ERC-1155 tokens are supported on the Rarible platform.

NFT MARKETPLACE RARIBLE

What is RARI Token?

Rarible aims to become a DAO (decentralize autonomous organization) and an important part of making this come to be is a governance structure. That’s why the RARI token is a governance token. Right now, there are two main things you can do with RARI tokens.

  • Community voting - proposals to improve the marketplace.
  • Curation - community decides which NFTs should be featured on the Rarible marketplace.

What to expect from Rarible

The Rarible team has a plethora of different products and services in the pipeline. This includes things like:

  • NFT market indexes (buy baskets of collectibles)
  • price discovery mechanisms for NFTs (get alerts and notifications)
  • a mobile app (buy, trade, and swap nft's on the go)
  • social features (share, comment, interact with nft's)
  • DeFi NFT’s (Defi, yields, mining, rewards in the NFT space)
  • fractional ownership and more (Own fractions fo things such as domains, sales, real estate etc)

Biggest Yield Farming Secrets EXPOSED

Biggest Yield Farming Secrets EXPOSED

The initial buzz around Decentralised finance (DeFi) has become the backdrop of yield farming recently, and for good reason. Yield farming promises dreamlike returns on capital investments in platforms like Curve, Synthetix, Balancer, and of course, Compound. These returns can reach 100% APR on ETH, comp, random,  and other stablecoins. It suffices to say that the idea of yield farming epitomizes earning money while you sleep, but only if you're doing it right.

In the beginning, yield farmers simply made the most of the flattering attempts by new big names like Synthetix to enable liquidity providers to circulate their native tokens. They accomplished this through their synthetic ETH token (sETH), using Uniswap DEX. The bait was that adding liquidity to the targeted sETH trading pool and staking Uniswap deposits called Uniswap sETH LP tokens, would profit the investor with SNX ( the Synthetix token) as well as trading charges earned from the Uniswap platform.

Following that trend on various DEXs, Synthetix currently gives back the most SNX returns at (about 48,000 SNX) every week through the Curve DEX. Meanwhile, other protocol teams have copied that style, with the COMP tokens smashing various records after debuting as governance-tokens-on-sale recently.

On that note, the most experienced experts in the world of yield farming have released a few trade secrets that will change your approach towards yield farming for the best profits. Here's what they have to say:

Learn all you can about 100% APR – Arthur Cheong

By taking the time to meticulously borrow tokens that'll yield the most COMP,  farmers have learned to supercharge their proceeds. This leverage borrowing system relies on the market-based distribution formula for the COMP token, and channels like InstaDapp has made that whole ordeal a more straightforward one.

The beauty of this strategy is in its continuity since liquidity providers can just hop on to the next scarce token after heating up to its maximum potential. This is evident in how most liquidity providers have moved onto less popular pieces like ZRX and BAT tokens after gaining weight on USDT.

Divide and plunder – Degen Spartan

Instead of looking at the juicy fruits on offer with the movement to COMP, you can capitalize on the resultant gaps in token space that have made niche strategies a bigger market for those willing to try. All you have to do is invest some stablecoins into the sUSD Curve pool, for example, and you'll be happy with more than an extra 20% APY in SNX after you throw the token into the Synthetix Mintr incentives contract.

Low-rate capital – Jake Brukhman, Founder and Managing Director of CoinFund

This has profit written all over it, but farmers will need to dig in their heels to weed out the really 'big fish' opportunity. There are many lending platforms offering capital at interest rates that go well below 0.1% - some are even available at 0%. There's also the exuberance of early protocol teams that promise sky-high APYs to consider. Of course, your assets, luck, and risk-taking threshold determine your prospects, but the odds are really good.

Don't forget the roots - Lasse Clausen

Little success in enabling liquidity for rewards can derail farmers from the basics of yield farming. One has to continually remember that yield farming is all about providing exposure for these tokens at their early stages in order to seize on their potential. While this means there's always some reinvestment to be done, the endless possibilities are why yield farming is so exciting anyways.

What Is Polkodot And How Does It Compare to Ethereum?

What Is Polkodot And How Does It Compare to Ethereum?

When discussing cryptocurrencies these days, it's hard to go without haring aboutor mentioning the Ethereum blockchain. However, a new project has some interesting potential. Originating from a co-founder of Ethereum, Gavin Wood, Polkadot has become a highly anticipated multi-chain interoperable network.

Following his leave from the Ethereum Foundation in 2016, Gavin Wood created a new blockchain called Polkadot, with the aim of solving different problems faced by many exisiting blockchains, including Ethereum 1.0.

Polkadot vs. Ethereum

Considering the intertwined history of both projects, it is only natural to compare them. At the basics, Ethereum, from a developer perspective, provides a platform where both logical statements and smart contracts are deployable to navigate the transfer of native assets on the Ethereum chain. On the other hand, Polkadot is meant to provide a platform where various blockchains are connectable, as well as a framework that makes building your own blockchain possible and easy. So as far as similarities go, on a basic level, the major design aim of both Ethereum and Polkadot is to enable developers to create their own personalized, decentralized applications.

In detail, the Ethereum and Polkadot platforms have their individual strong points. One of the most obvious strengths of Ethereum is its all-encompassing ecosystem, but this comes at a price – scalability, which refers to how transactions are processed at a limited rate.

Ethereum 1.0 uses a structure consisting of a single-chain where each node must individually authorize all transactions. Ethereum 2.0 aims to tackle this problem using a main chain termed the “Beacon Chain”.

Polkadot uses a similar yet different sharding method, in that it consists of a main chain termed the “Relay Chain,” and the shards (called parachains in Polkadot) can process transactions in parallel. But unlike the Ethereum sharding method, the parachains do not use a uniform rule for state-changing but independently initiate state changes. A simple way to understand this is to think of the main chain as a multi USB connector where, for the Ethereum blockchain, you can only plug in a specific type of USB type, while Polkadot allows for more.

That brings us to the effect of the level scalability that both blockchains offer. The lack of flexibility of shard connection in Ethereum makes interoperability nearly impossible, and, as such, only predetermined shards can join the Ethereum ecosystem. The reverse is the case for Polkadot as bridge parachains effectively enable developers to connect to external blockchains, including Ethereum.

It’s increasingly clear that Polkadot aims to do everything possible on other blockchains with the added benefit of seamless movement of assets between other chains, among other things. One of its major strengths over other blockchains for developers is the use of the development framework – Substrate –which effectively helps with facilitating easier blockchain development.

Ampleforth (AMPL) – New Digital Currency Built on Ethereum Blockchain

Ampleforth (AMPL) - New Digital Currency Built on Ethereum Blockchain

AMPL the native coin of Ampleforth, an ERC-20 token built on the Ehtereum blockchain. Ampleforth is an innovative new type of digital currency. AMPL is designed to be adaptive to supply and demand where all holder's wallet amounts fluctuate daily.

"The AMPL protocol automatically adjusts supply in response to demand. When price is high, wallet balances increase. When price is low, wallet balances decrease.

Never be diluted by supply inflation

AMPL is non-dilutive. Supply adjustments are applied universally and proportionally across every wallet’s balance. This means your percent ownership of the network remains fixed.

This Solves The Diversification Problem

Today's cryptocurrencies are dangerously correlated. AMPL's unique incentives allow it to decouple from Bitcoin's price pattern. This reduces systemic risk by adding diversity to a homogeneous ecosystem.

This Solves The Inelasticity Problem
Like precious metals, today's fixed supply cryptocurrencies are vulnerable to sudden shocks in demand and cannot be used to denominate complex contracts. As a result, sophisticated economies cannot be built upon them. AMPL is the simplest direct solution to the supply inelasticity problem."

Top 5 Staking Cryptocurrency Coins for 2020

Top 5 Staking Cryptocurrency Coins for 2020 | Coin Bureau

Welcome to this cryptocurrency staking video posted by Coin Bureau. In this video you learn about 5 of the top staking coins to look out for in 2020. Find below the 5 staking coins mentioned in the video above.

Tezos (XTZ)

Tezos (ticker symbol XTZ) is a relatively new blockchain that uses LPoS consensus which stands for 'liquid proof of stake'. The Tezos blockchain is built from the ground up and is not a fork of an existing blockchain. Tezos supports smart contracts and dapp development.

With Tezos a staker commits token deposits, they then receive rewards for signing and creating blocks. In order to independently stake on the Tezos blockchain, a staker needs to hold at least 8000 XTZ tokens and run a full node.

Synthetix (SNX)

Synthetix is a cryptoasset-backed network. The protocol which uses Ethereum ERC-20 tokens enables synthetic assets that are linked to another asset (examples include fiat currencies, commodities, and also other cryptocurrencies).

As an SNX staker, holders benefit from the inflation that occurs on the protocol. As of now (2020), there is a 1.25% inflation rate on the Synthetix network where SNX holders earn the newly minted tokens.

Algorand (ALGO)

Algorand is a permissionless, Pure POS (proof of stake) protocol with open participation and transaction finality functionality. Algorand users and programmers are able to build layer 1 decentralized applications.

ALGO tokens can be staked. For each block that is minted, all users on Algorand receive a proportion based on their weighted holdings.

Loom Network (LOOM)

Loom allows Ethereum based decentralized applications to run on sidechains. We have all heard Vitalik Buterin talk about the essential need for side chains to help scale blockchains. Loom is able to provide the leverage needed to allow Ethereum to perform at higher levels.

Loom also integrates with Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Chain and Tron.

With LOOMs Delegated Proof of Stake (dPoS). You can delegate LOOM tokens in order to earn a portion of the staking returns on the network.

Decred (DCR)

Decred is a hybrid proof-of-stake and proof-of-work blockchain. PoS holders verify and authorize transactions once DCR have been mined by PoW miners.

Decred uses a governance system where PoS holders help decide what changes can be made to the protocol. Voting tickets (locked DCR) which are selected through a randomized lottery system get rewards of 5.8 DCR per block or about 1.16 Decred per ticket holder.

Be sure to visit each of these exciting blockchain projects to learn more about them and see what progress and milestones they have made.

How to Spot Market Manipulation in the Crypto Space | Coin Bureau

How to Spot Market Manipulation in the Crypto Space | Coin Bureau

Welcome to this cryptocurrency video posted by Coin Bureau. In this video you learn about how to spot market manipulation in the crypto space.

How do you avoid market manipulation in crypto

  • Pump & Dump Crypto

Market participants and in some cases insiders will manipulate a cryptocurrency in order to 'pump' up the price in hopes that it gains attention. When other parties start to 'fomo' into the crypto the bad actors will 'dump' the coin and make their profits. This will result in the price going back down and the new parties who fomo'd into the cryptocurrency will lose value.

  • Order Book Spoofing Crypto

Order book spoofing is like an illusion. Market participants will create large buy or sell orders without any intent to actually execute the orders. This gives the impression that there is increased demand or selling pressure. Other market participants who see these orders may act upon it and get fooled into decreasing or increasing their position. This is exactly what the spoofer wants to happen. When this happens they will do the opposite and take advantage of the price movement.

  • Wash Trading Crypto

Wash trading is simply the buying and selling of the same asset over and over again to inflate the volume of trades in the digital asset. This makes it look like the digital asset is getting more traction and attention than it really is. This is a way that some projects or market participants will conduct marketing to gain exposure of a specific digital asset.

  • Stop Loss Hunting Crypto

Stop loss hunting in the crypto space is when market participants drive the price down through selling pressure in order to hit certain price points to trigger stop losses. The goal of the market participants who do this is to fill their bags at lower prices.

  • Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt Crypto

Creating a narrative and spreading fake news is a tactic used in both the cryptocurrency space and in traditional markets. Spreading stories that are not true can still get a lot of attention and make it hard to find the real underlying story of a digital asset. Many people will take fake news as if it were real and act upon it by selling their positions.

Cryptocurrency Market Manipulation Awareness

Make sure that you are aware of all these cryptocurrency market manipulation tactics and that you do your own research when purchasing a new digital asset or when learning about news related to the market as a whole or related to your individual holdings.

Almost every week there is a new project that claims to be the best thing since sliced bread. Now, not all these projects that are being released will be here to stay, however defi itself is. The Kyber Network looks to be one of the strongest projects that has the potential to make big waves in the defi space.

Kyber Network Overview

The Kyber Network is a decentralized exchange protocol that provides on-chain liquidity. By on-chain liquidity, it means it is able to give users the ability to swap and exchange ERC-20 tokens with one another on the Ethereum blockchain. The Ethereum blockchain is the most widely used smart contracts platform and a growing world computing machine. Kyber Network allows such transfers to happen through single transactions using smart contracts. Transactions and token exchange rates are taken from an aggregated liquidity pool across multiple sources to give users the best rates available.

Kyber Network Flow

The Kyber Network consists of 'takers', 'makers' and 'maintainers'. Takers take liquidity from the protocol by calling Kyber Networks core smart contract. Takers are end users, exchanges, wallets, and dapps.

Makers aka 'reserves' which provide liquidity to the network for token inventory and pricing. The reserves interact with the Kyber Network's interface smart contracts. When Kyber matches a trade it will find the best trading conditions and execute it all within one single transaction with the best course of action through an automated decentralized instantaneous execution.

Maintainers are parties that have permissions to access the functions. The Kyber Network team for example has access to certain functions.

4 Benefits to using Kyber Network

  1. Instant trade settlement - You don't have to wait for any order fulfillment because settlement and matching is all done within one single transaction.
  2. There is no partially executed orders - it is all done or none of it is done (executed or reverted).
  3. Complete transparency - anyone can verify the rates that are being offered by the reserves to ensure they are getting the best rates available at the time of execution.
  4. Easy to integrate - Kyber Network is simple to use and is easily integrated with smart contracts using the Ethereum blockchain.

Kyber Network Use Cases

  • Off chain token swaps
  • Currency and token conversion
  • NFT payments
  • Auto balance token portfolio weightings
  • Tokenized lending
  • Margin trading
  • Cross chain inter-operability (Ethereum to EOS for example)

Kyber Network Updates

  • Waterloo Bridge - a cross chain protocol that allows users to interchange value, tokens, and execute smart contracts across different blockchains.
  • Katalyst - a protocol upgrade that will increase liquidity and stake holder rewards/participation. The current protocol is designed to burn token fees or paid over to the dapp integrations. This will create a stronger governance model.

Kyber KNC Token

The Kyber Network KNC token facilitates smooth operation of the decentralized liquidity network. Prior to updates one of the only ways that KNC holders would benefit was from the burning of tokens when fees occurred. This creates a benefit for those who HODL long term.

KyberDAO

The burning alone is not enough incentive and it does not reward those who participate in the network. The network will not grow exponentially without the participants being rewarded. This will change with the release of the Kyber Dow and reserve incentives. Burning will still take place on the protocol but holders will also have the opportunity to earn more KNC through the following.

  • Staking on the Kyber Network - Stake and participate in the KyberDAO to get rewards from the network fees.
  • Reserve incentiveskyber network katalyst upgrade
  • - Rewards for providing liquidity and being a market maker. This creates more trading opportunities and helps to grow the Kyber Network ecosystem as a whole.

Kyber Network Katalyst Release

The Kyber Network Team has been doing a great job at building a strong global community. They have been active with meetups across many countries. They are one of the most active projects in the Ethereum community. They have been present and active at Blockchain Week in Germany, to ETH India, to ETH Denver. There have been a number of Kyber Network hackathons and events. Watch the crypto video above to get all the details on Kyber Network and where it is heading in the months and years to come.

Non-fungible Tokens and DeFi Sector | Coin Bureau

Non-fungible Tokens and DeFi Sector | Coin Bureau

Welcome to this cryptocurrency video review posted by Coin Bureau. In this video you will learn about NFT's. Digital collectibles that cannot be replicated. NFT's cannot be duplicated, they are unique. Fungible tokens such as Bitcoin and Ethereum tokens are all the same. One Bitcoin is equal to another Bitcoin at any specific point in time, no matter who owns it. Non fungible tokens are antiques, they can be one of a kind and owned by just one individual. A NFT can be transferred p2p to another person and the new owner has proof of legitimacy.

Ethereum ERC-721 tokens are NFT's. Ethereum ERC-20 are FT's. ERC-1155 is able to do both NFT's and FT's.

One of the most popular projects working with NFT's is Decentraland.
